This album sends a message of hope and healing to the brokenhearted.
Largely influenced and inspired through serving in the worship and arts ministry of her church, Sojourn Church in Louisville, KY, Whitney writes Scripture-inspired songs that seek to combine deep theological truths with fresh and pristine sounds.
The making of this record brings overwhelming joy and gratitude to my heart as I think of all the people who made what seemed to be a far-fetched idea become a reality.
I want to give special thanks to: Ellen and Neal Dunlap, Marilyn, Mike and Cindy Hynes, Mark and Jessie Minnery, Tracy “is awesome” White, my sweet grandparents (Mimi and Dadaw), Mike and Stacy Hollen, Rodney and Becky Bozarth and David and Carrie Elliot. Thank you for your overwhelming support of this project. We could not have done this without you! I also want to thank Chris and Sarah Vincent for opening your home to a noisy crew for a few days to allow us to make some beautiful music in your basement.
Additionally, thank you to Emil Handke, Bruce Ashburn, Ally and Carrie Elliot, Sam Lilly, Bryce and Katy Adams, Jessie Minnery, Sovereign Grace Music, Sojourn Music, Sojourn Community Church and SBTS Department of Biblical Worship for your invaluable resources that helped make this project aesthetically and musically beautiful!
